Blue Haze

The abstract landscape depicts a horizon with turbulent skies approaching, evoking a sense of powerful natural forces at play. I use a hazy color palette dominated by shades of blues, turquoise, and grays, which lend the painting a dreamy, ethereal quality.

I wanted the horizon line to be positioned near the upper third of the canvas, with the vast expanse of the water occupying the lower two-thirds. The horizon itself is distinct, yet blends into the blue-gray mist that seems to rise up from the sea below. Above the horizon, the sky is filled with tumultuous clouds that seem to be in constant motion, swirling and billowing as if buffeted by powerful winds.

Despite the chaotic nature of the skies, I feel a certain sense of harmony. The various shades of blue and gray blend seamlessly into one another, creating a cohesive and unified emotional balance for me. The swirling clouds, although turbulent and ever-shifting, seem to be part of a greater whole, connected to the horizon and the wider landscape.
